BODY BALANCE WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAM
This is a 90 day program designed to help you not only lose weight by detoxifying the body, and replacing it with needed balanced nutrients. You eat regular food that is supplemented by nutritional shakes. Unlike eating high protein diets, protein shakes offer the body protein that is ready for use and does not need to be broken down. It also has all necessary amino acids. Eating a lot of protein in food alone does not ensure one is getting the proper amino acids. There is a focus on the quality of weight that is lost not just the amount, with the goal being to lose fat and gain muscle. We perform a BIA (bio electric impedance analysis) which allows us to tract fat and muscle weight loss/gain. Often people may lose rapid amounts of weight in short periods of time by severely restricted caloric intake or near removal of a food group such as carbohydrates. In such cases the majority of weight lost is muscle and not fat. Muscle is needed to help glucose and insulin regulation which affects the ability to maintain that weight loss. This is why patients may lose weight but they will gain that weight and more back. This sets up the cycle for yo-yo dieting and future weight loss failure. Low glycemic eating allows one to eat 'good carbs' and it is incorporated into the eating habits. Guidance on how to stock your kitchen, shopping lists, exercising, meal planning and menus are also offered. We also explore the emotional aspect of eating.
